• Before buying it you will need a tank or a big storage box. It is best if the box or tank is not see through as the tortoise will get irritated and try to get out to the other side. • Baby turtles eat a lot because they are growing up just as humans do, so do not be afraid if you feel like you’re turtle is eating too much. If you’re concerned, you might want to check with the vet. • Turtles like to eat dandelions as well as some of the weeds you find in your backyard. • You might want to give your tortoise a piece of apple or watermelon as a little treat from time to time. Some tortoises like berries. • Buy a small container and pour about an inch of water in it.Put your turtle in for about 15 minutes. He will drink and then use it as the toilet. You might want to do this once or twice a week depending on how much your turtle eats. Turtles should have about 10 hours of light a day (bulb or sun light).
