PA 25 of 1990 contained four elements that are still the cornerstone of school reform in Michigan: core curriculum, school improvement, accreditation and annual reports. These four elements are highly interrelated. Education YES! replaces the old accreditation system and is the accreditation component of PA 25. It does not replace the other components. Schools will be required to include the Education YES! accreditation status in the Annual Report beginning in 2003-04.
