How is marking done in IIT-JEE Mains?
JEE papers are very carefully scrutinised and checked to eliminate the chances of errors and mistakes. Lot of people sit in a big hall, and one person checks one particular question thus reducing the chances of difference in marks for different students for a particular question. Part marks are there and are allocated as per the number of steps matching with the printed solution. There are separate cut-offs for each subject as well as total cut-off.
