How long after lh surge, does it become neg?

It depends on the length of your lh surge. I have had months where it lasted less than 24 hours, and months where I had 3 days of positives. So….there is no ‘rule’ about how long it should stay positive, only that you should expect to ovulate within 12-26 hours of your FIRST positive. My Dr. always has told me that to save my sanity I should test more than once a day (in case it’s a short surge – don’t want to miss it) and to rely on the first positive and then STOP TESTING, then watch my cervical mucus. Egg white cm will dry up quickly after ovulation.
