How long does it take for an olive tree to grow from seedling to producing olives?
For a tree to grow from a seedling to the point that it produces “fruit” (i.e., olives) it takes anywhere from 7-35 years. Sometimes people refer to planting olive trees for their grandchildren since they, themselves, may not live to see them bear fruit. Olive trees also live for many, many years, sometimes hundreds of years!
