How long would it take to drive from Kansas City, MO to Vero Beach, Florida?

Hi I live in STL and I drive to St. Augustine every year, and used to live in Miami which is near Vero Beach. I also drive to Sanibel Island FL every year. It will take you about 22-24 hours to make the drive. We usually drive straight through, but we do stop at gas stations, rest stops and to eat. I recommend on this drive getting out of the car about every 4 hours and stretching your legs. Trust me you will need it. Most of the trip goes really fast however GA takes FOREVER!!!! That will be your longest part of the drive. Here are some helpful tips to make your trip go faster, first make sure that you do not hit, St. Louis or Atlanta during rush hour. This will add a few hours to your drive time and cause you some headaches. Second take the Bypass around Atlanta don’t go through downtown. The bypass mileage wise is longer but, time wise goes a whole lot faster than going through downtown. MAPQUEST does not put the bypass on their directions so get a map! There are plenty of rest stop
