How long would it take to grow a Peyote plant with mescaline in it?
Each peyote ‘button’ is in fact its own plant. Unfortunately, a freshly planted seed will generally take around five years to produce a specimen containing a single dose of mescaline, but the level increases exponentially and can reach three or four doses after another two. Once the plant’s roots have fully formed, a new button will grow much faster after the original is harvested. The process can be sped up even more with advanced grafting techniques, but I’d leave this to botanists. If you do make an attempt, you should find everything you need to know in the link below.
