How the buring of fossil fuels by humans affects the carbon cycle?

I hope you mean “burning” of fossil fuels. Fossil fuels contain large amounts of carbon, lots of which doesn’t get consumed when the fuel is burned. The carbon cycle refers to carbon released into the atmosphere (usually as CO2 gas) and plants and animals and the oceans absorbing the carbon, keeping the amount in the atmosphere at safe levels. The planet, when the cycle isn’t upset by burning fossil fuel keeps the carbon levels in balance, and it’s constantly being reused and reabsorbed. Burning fossil fuels in large quantities puts more carbon into the environment than the planet can assimilate and it builds up in the atmosphere. The increase in carbon levels is what is being blamed for climate change and global warming.
