john locke: in his two treatises of government he stated the inaliable rights: life, liberty, and property (which the declaration changed to the pursuit of happiness) rousseau: the social contract- stated that the people gave power to their representatives, but if ever the government infringes on their rights, then the people have a right to rebel can’t name others off the top of my head, sorry.
