WW2 brought the United States together as a nation very firmly. The citizens of the US were ligitemently scared during WW2, and almost everyone participated in the war effort against the Axis Powers. The men went off to war, and the wemon took most of the men’s jobs when they enlisted or were drafted. This later caused some controversy on wemons rights that led to a pheminist revolution through out the 50s and 60s. All though Americans were scared of an attack from Japan on the westcost the morale of the nation itself was very high and enthusastic about winning the war. Remember that the US had just gone through the great depression, and this was the first time in a long time that Americans believed in a better future, and so they came together to fight for it. By the time the atomic bomb was dropped America was very ready to end the long and bloody war.
