If helmets become compulsory for skiing, will they be compulsory for road users too?

A quick response to Evan – wearing a helmet with head/earphones does not make someone responsible – it just means they value their own safety/comfort with little thought for those they are more likely to hit whilst cruising around with loud music playing. Skiing is an amazing sport about being out in nature – there is simply no need to lessen ones senses by listening to music. Answer: Helmets simply will not become compulsory, they are worn by the minority of slope users and no significant mountain resort or its local authority will enforce helmet use as the impact to business will simply be far too drastic. They also can send out the wrong message regarding safety, I have taught instructors for many years, and have seen endless number of steeps clinics run by nut cases with half a brain cell, who take ignorant skiers up to the top of a dangerous run/traverse providing they are wearing a helmet, then wonder why their student (complete with helmet) has just double ejected over the side
