If i put 20 inch rims on an Altima Coupe, Will it use more gas?
While there are super-light alloy wheels out there, that would enable you to get 20″ rims weighing close to your stock rims, they are prohibitively expensive. If you’re not shopping at the very top of the pricelist, any 20″ alloys you get will weigh a lot MORE than stock. Then there’s increased rolling resistance. Both of the above factors will impact your MPG. Your speedometer and odometer will indicate incorrectly as a result of changed wheel diameter as well.
