Is a marine option scholarship harder/easier to get than a regular NROTC scholarship?

It depends on what you consider easier: Marine physical requirements are more extensive – 3 mile run compared to Navy 1.5 mile, Pullups and the sort. Navy Scholarships require Calculus and Physics classes no matter what degree you are working towards. As far as obtaining them, they are the same. You get a scholarship almost totally dependant on your high school grades and they are for a Naval Service commission. This means either Navy or Marine. There is no difference in training during the year also. You wear the same uniform with subtle differences (belt buckle and nametag color) during college. Summer training is different the second and third years and there are extended requirements for physical training.
