Is Jim Colburn being sarcastic, frustrated or just plain dumb for criticizing pitchers/players?
Jim Colburn has been a successful pitching coach for many years; he is not worried about keeping his job. There are times that a player has some success and thinks that they can do it all without any additional help. In the old days the coach would thump him on the side of the head; now they need to get the players attention in other ways. Jim Colburn won 20 games for a very bad Milwaukee Brewers team. If he can do that he must have some knowledge of the art of pitching. The entire Pirates staff should listen very closely to him. Matt Morris is the only pitcher on the Pirates staff to have any real accomplishments.
