But Barbara Walters will be ending her 29-year run of Oscars specials when the final one airs Sunday at 7pm, And before she goes, she’s going on competing networks (and cracking jokes) to promote the hell out of it. On NBC, she stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, to reveal why she’s stopping the ABC mainstay. “I’m sick of them,” she said bluntly. Then she made some predictions – including Sandra Bullock taking home the Best Actress Oscar. The hour earlier, she showed up on Late Show with David Letterman to do a Barbara Walters-Oscars-Special-themed Top 10 list. Letterman was gracious. “If you wanted a career in broadcasting in the days broadcasting meant something, this is where you needed to be right there ladies and gentlemen,” he said.
