WHY THE CULTURAL DIVIDE BETWEEN CONAN OBRIEN & JAY LENO VIEWERS?

Conan O’Brien’s much ballyhooed (always love an excuse to use that word) on CBS’ 60 Minutes found the former Tonight Show host basically whining about his short tenure and going all “passive-aggressive” against those who supposedly did him wrong. But, don’t worry, we’re assured, he’s “okay.” If he’s not okay his roughly 30-million dollar Wall Street-style golden parachute should be recalled by the feds. At one point during the conversation, he indicates to interviewer Steve Kroft that he’s philosophical about his plight (?), saying “I do not regret anything, I think, this may be my upbringing Catholic or magical- thinking Irish, but I think that things happen for a reason. I really do.” To which Kroft replied “I think the Lutherans think so.” Then, apparently standing corrected, O’Brien responded with laughter “Oh, my God, the Lutherans.” I actually think most followers of both expressions of Christianity (as well as “magical-thinking Irish) tend to think things i
