If TPOS (VPOS) is desired, then a single-element circuit is required. If operation that is independent of the installed customer sensor rotation angle is desired, then a single-element circuit is required. Because of the special magnetic field design required by single-element circuits, they tend to use larger packages (SA and SE) and be more expensive than differential products.
