What are Recurring Transactions?
Recurring transactions are those transactions that are automatically charged to your card each month with or without your knowledge. Because your card is prepaid and does not carry a credit line, merchants (e.g. “Book of the Month Club? Cable TV services, Health clubs, etc.) may suspend or cancel your service if you don’t have enough money left on the card when the recurring transaction comes due. This is particularly risky if the recurring charge is for an essential service.
