What is a conditional ticket?
Anyone who applies for a ticket to follow the U.S. for matches in the knockout rounds will be applying for a conditional ticket, which will only be valid if the U.S. team advances. Applicants will be required to use a payment card to pay the full amount for all tickets up front. Should the U.S. fail to advance to a stage of the tournament where someone has purchased a ticket, then the ticket purchaser will receive a refund by Sept. 2010 to the payment card used, less a $10 service fee per ticket.
