What is a radiator hose?
A radiator hose is the thick looking, flexible black hose made of rubber and composite material that is attached to the top of the radiator and runs into your engine block. It is secured by two metal rings with screws fasteners and is attached just below your motor’s intake. It is responsible for circulating engine coolant or radiator fluid into the motor to cool it down. What can go wrong with a radiator hose? Like the common cold or flu, broken radiator hoses are one of the most frequently experienced car problems in existence. The most common radiator hose failures are a tear or break in the middle of the hose, a loose connector that allows fluid to leak, or a bound or tangled hose. The radiator hose usually ends up bursting if a connector is loose or there is a leak anywhere on the hose.
