What is Bovis Lend Leases role in the CIP?
In September 1998 CMS contracted with Bovis Lend Lease to be the CIP’s Program Manager. As Program Manager, Bovis Lend Lease operates as an extension of the CMS Building Services staff. They have the same administrative authority to act on behalf of the Board of Education to manage the bond program, e.g. they participate in budget and program milestone schedule development, administer the procurement of design and construction to execute the Capital Improvements Program. However, they are NOT construction managers and do not hold the trade contracts to perform the work. Bovis Lend Lease is NOT the contractor building the schools.
