You should just get a spare battery. The cameras are battery hogs. If you just get a spare battery it’s cheaper then buying a new on and you will have extra batteries which is always great. You can get a new battery for under $11.00 from http://www.needbattery.

Yes, it’s normal. Unfortunately Kodak cams are battery hogs, even when using rechargeable. The batteries that came with your cam were cheap alkaline, you won’t get many pictures out of them. Your best bet is to spring for KLIC-8000 batteries and charger, you’ll get more shots out of it.
