What is the difference between sanity testing and sanitation testing?
A sanity test or sanity check is a very brief run-through of the functionality of a computer program, system, calculation, or other analysis. It gives a measure of confidence that the system or methodology works as expected, often prior to a more exhaustive round of testing. Sanitation testing applies to food service equipments. Before your food service equipment can be sold in North America it must comply with applicable NSF sanitation standards which are recognized by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). As an ANSI-accredited certification body, Intertek can test your product to the applicable standards.
