regular, local police= cops RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) the most famous canadian police, particularly in the US – think dudley doright from rocky and bulwinkle – google it if I’m not making sense to you they are called “mounties” although not that often any more it is kind of an old stereotype based on some old shows that were made up here and were shown in the US too.
