What personal skills or qualities are needed to become an X-Ray Technician?
An X-Ray Technician is one who is engaged in the Medical field, operating X-Ray equipment to help doctors and other medical professionals diagnose, treat and otherwise care for the health of their patients. X-Ray Technicians, often also called Radiologic Technologists, do not need doctorate or other medical degrees, since they do not practice actual medical procedures. In some cases, X-Ray Technicians might be required to administer non-radioactive materials into patients’ bloodstream prior to X-Ray examination, in order to more clearly show particular areas within the body; and as requested by the prescribing physician. As such, some X-Ray Technicians might be required to be trained and qualified for those procedures.
