The COBie2 Specification (DOC 37 KB) is a performance specification. This means that it doesn’t matter what software is used to create COBie2 information, as long as the format of the information meets the COBie2 specification and the content of the COBie2 file reflects your specific project. Software vendors have begun to directly export to COBie2, however, on small projects COBie2 may also be created or updated by hand directly in the spreadsheet version of the COBie2 data.
