What to wear to The Nutcracker ballet?
If you have a satin, shiny, evening wear dress, then wear it. Preferably something longer than a mini-dress because you will have lots of families in close proximity. If you don’t have something that dressy, then wear what you love the most. Both are acceptable. Christmas/Holiday faerie would be cool, if you have something to create a sort of costume. Hair and makeup, same thing too. It’s a magical performance so dress the part, just don’t overdo it, eg use glitter blush, eyeshadow, etc. It’s a ballet but it’s also Christmas so whatever you have for the holidays, use it if it works for you. Balcony seats work great because you get to see the entire stage. Seats down front are below the stage and aren’t the best for viewing this ballet. So thank the person who cared enough to give you a ticket. Enjoy the magic and treat the one who treated you to a nice hot chocolate afterwards.
