What types of youth baseball and softball programs are available?
In the spring, youth baseball is run by independent leagues. There are two (2) Little Leagues which serve either the north or south section of the city. Babe Ruth baseball is a citywide league. Information on registration is usually printed in the local newspapers and available in early March. In the fall, the Recreation Department runs a youth program on the weekends. Information is available beginning in early July at (401) 847-6875. Girls Babe Ruth softball league is run through the Recreation Department in the spring through the fall.
