Since nearly all store-bought hair products can be drying or damaging to your hair in one way or another, and especially since you use heat on your hair which makes it likely that your hair is being dried out, I would suggest doing a straight-up oil treatment. Coconut and jojoba oils are best for this; 100% pure coconut oil can be found with cooking oils at the store. Jojoba can be a little trickier to find, but if you have an organic or health food store it would likely be in the beauty section. Apply the oil as liberally as you want to the length of your hair. You’ll want to start near your ears, since your scalp likely doesn’t need any extra oil. You could also do this only on the ends if that’s all you’re worried about. Let the oil sit for as little as 15 minutes and as long as an hour… you can even leave it in all day if you want; it won’t hurt anything.
