Get a recipe for churro dough online. To cook the churros, you’ll a large heavy sauce pan, fry thermometer, and a large plastic ziplock bag. You’ll also need a spider to get the finished churros out, a large sheet pan, a cooling rack that fits inside the sheet pan, and lined with yesterday’s newspaper. Make churro dough as directed and start heating the oil in your sauce pan to 350 (you have a fry thermometer yes?) Spoon the dough into a ziplock bag, maybe fill 1/2 to 3/4 full. Seal the bag. Twist the bag to sort of make a cone, like a pastry bag. In fact, we’re going to make a pastry bag by snipping off a corner on the bottom to make a hole about 1/2″ wide. When the oil is hot, squeeze the bag to make a 4-6″ line of dough right into the sauce pan. Do about 3 or 4 at a time so they cook without sticking to each other.
