Who read the Cask of Amontillado by Edgar Allan Poe?

In the story the lead character (Montressor) is plotting revenge on someone he knows (Fortunato) because he wronged him one too many times. Montressor knows that Fortunato is an alcoholic, so Montressor lures Fortunato to his home to taste some expensive wine (Amontillado that is). He has Fortunato follow him deep into the catacombs of his home and they finally reach where the Amontillado is stored. Montressor then suddenly chains Fortunato to a wall and begins to wall him in with bricks and mortar. Montressor takes pleasure in Fortunato’s cries for help and his moans of agony. After nicely bricking up the wall, Montressor says “May he Rest in Peace” and that’s the end of it. He leaves him there to starve and die, hidden away from and forgotten by the world entirely. So you could say that Montressor was passive aggressive and didn’t indicate to Fortunato that he was upset at all until he chained him up. Fortunato was obviously a prideful idiot who insulted and took advantage of people.
