Why does the government keep changing contractors and disrupting us all?
A. The government, like any other purchaser, is free to make the best deal it can with suppliers. If the government didn’t recompete contracts, they could become locked into a cost-ineffective arrangement and would have little leverage to keep us contractors on our toes. The law requires competition and companies are glad to have new opportunities arising and new challenges for their staff. But we recognize that it is disruptive – most of us have been through it and appreciate the anxiety it causes. We’re ready to assist you every step of the way.
