(Asim Pervez – Islamabad) Mr. I. M: It is not a bad idea. I myself did MBA under semester system at IBA but it is impossible to make a change immediately. We have to consider whole Sindh, not only Karachi as far as the education system is concerned. There is a big difference between Karachi and other interior areas of Sindh. It would be unfair if we produce one system for Karachi and another system for rest of the Sindh. The education system has to be improved from grass root level, from primary to the middle then secondary and then we can talk about bringing in semester system. The primary system is so poor in Sindh that if you bring semester system students will not be able to cope up with it. We have 14000 primary schools and 2200 middle schools in Govt. sector in Sindh. Obviously there’s a very high dropout rate and this is the dilemma. This year we are upgrading 1200 schools from primary to middle and after this up gradation we will move forward. Q3.
