Why doesn the Mona Lisa have eyebrows?
Actually she was painted with eyelashes and eyebrows. Through time the very fine lines that made up her eyelashes faded. According to the Da Vinci’s exhibit me and my fiance went to at The Metreon in San Francisco that through a high definition camera, resulting to an ultra-high resolution magnifying Mona Lisa’s image 24x there was an evidence found of a single brush stroke that would constitute of her brows and lashes. It is a faded pigment from the paint used. Because as we all know, during those times artists like Michaelangelo, Da Vinci and the like made their own paint from different colored pigment. As technology progressed there were added chemicals to make paint stay and preserve the pigment.
