Carefresh is generally a dusty bedding that some rats are too sensitive to to be kept on. Although it does state “dust free” it simply isn’t. This bedding (as all is, but especially Carefresh) should be freezed prior to use to kill off mites that can travel in it and onto your rats. Carefresh can be used if you have a large sifter.
