How does STRUDS® calculate column loads?

0

In STRUDS®, the column loads are computed as algebraic sum of beam reactions at their nodes. In case of Plane Grid analysis, only axial loads are computed on the column, which is the sum of beam reactions at that node. In case of Plane Frame and Space Frame analysis, the axial load as well as the moments along both X and Y axes are obtained from the analysis results directly.
