A woman can only get pregnant on her ovulation day (once you have ovulated the egg lives for about 24-36hrs). But you should be having sex on your fertile days leading up to ovulation because the sperm can live in the woman for about 5 days so doing it regularly will ensure that there are sperm waiting for when the egg is released.
