Where is the Best Steak in Los Angeles, California?

I’ve gone to a lot of different steak houses throughout a number of countries in the world including Argentina and Brazil which are both known to having the best steak in the world. This steak house experience was an insult to my taste buds. The steak did not come cooked as requested. Even the service was lousy. I ordered a high quality cut around $30 and specified well done. Within minutes the steak came back with red in the center. Not what I asked and of course the restaurant did nothing to correct the problem. I was going to refuse to pay but my friend who went with me did not want me to make any waves. By the way, his hamburger was also way undercooked. We both left very disappointed. In fact the steak here was even worse than the Sizzler, which is saying a lot because I could not stand the last trip to Sizzler. In fact that experience was the worst until Outback beat them by a landslide. I have not returned to Sizzler since. In fact I won’t return to Outback ever again!

Here’s an update to our experience at Mastro’s on May 23. I finally received a call from the manager of Mastro’s, Beverly Hills, albeit 3 days after I initially spoke with someone about our issue, and after I sent the corporate office a scathing email about our experience. It seems he did not get the message from the person who initially answered my call, but he did receive my email. I had a good conversation with him about the incident, and received his sincerest apologies, both for the seating fiasco, and for no one contacting us in a prompt manner. He said it’s not their normal way of doing business. He noted that Mastro’s is all about the people who dine there…if not, they wouldn’t be around long. I do feel that Mastro’s made it right with us, and we will visit them again. I really do want to visit them again, because no doubt about it, their food and service is terrific!Pros + Excellent steaks

Its hard to believe that this restaurant isn’t better known. Its in the heart of Beverly Hills, just off La Cienega’s Restaurant Row and I have driven by it for probably 10 years, but last night was our first dining experience here. And I assure you that we will be back!!!!! Its low-key, not pretentious or overpriced like Wolfgang’s on Canon or stuffy like Ruth Chris’ (although I like the filet there too). Not a scene, where you are going to see & be seen. Its a true steakhouse restaurant in every way. The service was very attentive (thank you Chad), the drinks & wine were good, the Onion soup was perfect (not too salty like so many others), and the Porterhouse steak was delicious and presented beautifully, with the filet minon on one side and the new york steak on the other side of the T-bone. Cut to share and enjoy!!!! We had Mushrooms & Spinach as our sides, both were super! Dessert was also delish, we had the Chocolate Molton Cake and an apple tart, both served with Vanil

‘I can’t get no satisfaction I can’t get no satisfaction ’cause i try and i try and i try and i try I can’t get no, i can’t get no’… Dear Arnie Morton- After our date last night and all the coy flirting, I admit I was more bashful than usual. I apologize I am usually not so timid but what big meat you have! I was flustered with excitement and anxious with anticipation to have you in my mouth. On-line there were so many sexy pictures that were teasing my eyes and I longed to taste you. I find you mouth watering. I was so enticed to see for myself what others had told me about all you had to offer. Not that I listen to what people say but I was very intrigued.Your rib-eye was so thick and juicy, cooked to a wonderful pink and reddish medium rare or shall I say cooked to perfection? -You really know what a girl wants. I won’t call it regret but I just was slightly disappointed by the lack of fore play once I arrived at your place. Arnie you popped my Morton cherry! Like every virgin- I

Well… I just returned from Argentina from a 10 day expedition to experience the country that everyone seems to be talking about. The wines, the people, the club scenes, the restaurants… it’s all true!!! Buenos Aires is truly an amazing place, with a countless things to see and do. After returning back home, I got together with a group of friends to share with them my experiences and the Malbecs I was daring enough to smuggle out of the country. One of my friends mentioned that there was an Argentine restaurant in town that he always loved to go to. I thought he went one of the Gaucho chains, and immedietly discarded his comment, but then he mentioned that the restaurant was named after a tango singer, and I realized we weren’t talking about the same place. I was intruiged and decided that on my next night out I would check the place out. It turned out to be Carlitos Gardel restaurant on Melrose Ave! The ambiance was just like that of Buenos Aires, which was a wonderful surp
