Where is the Best Steak in Los Angeles, California?

I’m originally from New York and have been looking for a great restaurant for a long time. I went to the Dal Rae on a recommendation from a friend. My experience was great the wait was minimal maybe 10 minutes thats pretty good for a busy Friday night. The food was outstanding! For appetizers we had the Alaskan King crab that tasted like they just grabbed it out of the ocean, and shrimp scampi, which was also great. The caesar salad was made table side which was enjoyable to watch. Then came the main course….Filet Mignon. It was butter in my mouth! I’ve been to Peter Lugars and this takes the cake! It was hard but I saved room for dessert. The table shared Banana Flambe made table side topped the dinner off. If your looking for a great steakhouse/seafood to make your mouth water this is it. Pros + The Food! service was good too and good wine list

I went here on a business lunch and was excited because it is a fairly well known restaurant. The restaurant itself, is not as impressive as I expected it to be from pictures and descriiptions – it just seemed very…bland. The hostess was the only positive part of the experience. She was very friendly and helpful. After being greeted and seated, however, service wen’t downhill. My guest and I both ordered salads and several appetizers. Our waiter, Nicholas took our order, very unenthusiastically, and appeared to be put out anytime we asked him for anything. It took over 10 minutes for him to fill our water glasses and once we received our food, that was basically the last time we saw him. Let me rephrase that – it was the last time he paid dus any attention. He walked by several times, but refused to stop long enough for us to ask him for ketchup, etc. We literally had to flag him down – twice – for our bill. Overall, I was not too impressed by the food either. Granted, the place is k

I came here for brunch on a Saturday. Started off with a couple of very nice pomegranate bellini’s. Next, a bowl of fruit. Very nicely cut, but a bowl of fruit for $6 is a bit steep. Oh well, another sip of the bellini’s smoothed over any worries about paying $6 for some fruit. Next, the Crab Cakes Benedict and the Mushroom Lasagna. Both were quite good, though the crab cakes were a more special than the lasagna. Our server was very nice, the food came quickly, and the over mood was nice and relaxed. Nice way to spend a lazy Saturday!Pros + Good food and drinks, nice atmosphereCons – A bit pricey

This place is hitt or miss. Recently I had was craving a good steak, and I came to Wood Ranch and ordered the rib eye; it was extremely delicious, tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. I also highly recommend their scrumptious fresh-baked rolls, are covered in a thin film of olive oil and garlic. I’ve had other meals from their lunch menu that did not impress me as much; once I got the tri-tip and it was cold in the middle. Perhaps the issue is that their “cheap” lunch menu isn’t as good as their full-price dinner menu? Also, they don’t validate parking which stinks considering that they are located in the Grove.Pros + Ribeye steak, garlicky fresh-baked rollsCons – they don’t validate parking, lunch menu is so-so

My love for this place knows no bounds. I live in San Francisco, but I’m always in Santa Monica for business. I must go to the Galley at least two or three times a month. Whenever I step in the door, I am welcomed with such hoopla, I swear that I feel like Norm from Cheers. The service is so amazing, they already have my drink made before I get to my booth and then the server confirms “Ribeye, medium rare plus with peppercorn sauce on the side? And garlic mashed potatoes and spinach?” How can they possibly remember all that? It’s truly a great home away from home, fabulous food and friendly service.
