Why are milled soaps more desirable?
Methode Classique Milled Soap is NOT re-batched soap. Many crafty soap makers use failed or poor quality soap batches or even soap leftovers to make “French Milled” or “Milled” soaps. Then they charge the consumer extra for their mistakes!! These soaps are the “downer cows” of soaps and you are being charged twice as much for them. These soapmakers are trying to charge you the consumer for their mistakes and poor quality craftsmanship. When we mill our soap we mill fresh exceptional quality soap several times letting is cure properly abd fully in between millings. Only, after the soap has cured fully, it is ready to become the fabulous bars. Our curing rooms are temperature and humidity controled to ensure that our soap is given every opportunity to be the finest quality product available. We do not commercially extrude, or “salt out” out any valuable glycerin from our handcrafted soaps as many large commercial french milled soaps do in order for the soap to be able to be pushed throug
