Why does Compandents MELPe sound better than the standard reference?
A. Compandent has been working on the MELPe package for several years now. We have extensively tested our MELPe suite (a.k.a MELPe++ or MELPe-Plus-Plus) in many different environments and with a variety of speech data. We can show you examples where the standard reference produces hoarse speech or annoying clicks while Compandent’s MELPe (MELPe++) produces much better sounding and cleaner speech.
