    Liberal States

    Some states don’t require any notice of your intent to homeschool your children.  These include:

    Semi-Liberal States

    There are some states that simply want to know of your intent to homeschool your children.  These include:

    • Utah
    • California
    • Nevada
    • Wyoming
    • Montana

    Slightly Strict States

    Other states require homeschool students to be tested each year.  They include:

    • Washington
    • Florida
    • Georgia
    • North Carolina
    • South Carolina
    • Virginia
    • West Virginia
    • Hawaii
    • Ohio
    • Tennessee
    • Louisiana
    • Arizona

    • District of Columbia
    • Iowa
    • Minnesota
    • South Dakota
    • Colorado

    Very Strict States

    Then there are some really strict states whenever it comes to homeschooling.  These states are:

    • Vermont
    • New York
    • Pennsylvania
    • Rhode Island
    • Massachusetts
    • North Dakota.
